A
new area of dimensional physics, Phasing Science, is born with the published
research of Dr. Emery Freebourne. |

|
Iceland's
single nuclear reactor at Bolungavik Station suffers
a series of faults in the coolant process resulting
in a catastrophic meltdown. Iceland is declared uninhabitable.
With its surviving population of 500,000 displaced,
the US and many European countries expedite their immigration.

|
A
leap in the Phasing Sciences is lead by a 21 year old
professor's assistant out of MTC. The
assistant, Soble Strauss, is able to create a limited
duration, stabilized phasing field halo.

|
Task
One of the CP2 is completed ahead of schedule when a
suitable target dimension is located by “G” groupe,
a small team of unsupported CP2 researchers lead by
the young Dr. Strauss. The target dimension is labeled Echo Alpha.
A second viable target dimension, Echo Beta, is discovered
later in the year.

|
Construction
of a facility designed to house all aspects of the CP2
is completed on Reykjavik, UK. The enormous underground
complex is shielded from the radiated environment above.
It is called Dimension Science Facility - UK (DSF-UK).

|
At
DSF-UK, construction begins on a large scale phasing
generator. The completion
date is set for mid 2080. The generator, called Ascension,
will be capable of producing a 1400 cubic mile “halo” of
stability inside which dimensional phasing can
occur.

|
Although
far from finished, the completed core for the Ascension
sits neatly within its skeletal framework. The first "phase
on" test for the critical components begins in
the early hours of the year 2073. The generator is
switched on and the phasing field is extended to a
three mile test point. In mid test, the generator
detects a fault and powers down automatically. An
error report is not generated. Three successful "phase
on" tests by the end of 2073 indicate a completion
of Task Two

|
Under
enormous pressure from rights groups backed by alternative
scientific studies which calls into question the safety
of dimensional phasing, the government of the UK ultimately
defaults on its pledge to allow the third Task of the
CP2 to take place, fearing another "Bolungavik
Station" incident off the coast of mainland UK.
The project is put on indefinite hold. DSF-UK operates
in a "low profile" mode while ambassadors
fight the legalities, concentrating on theoretical phase
research including the affects of phasing on the human
body.

|
It
is suspected that, at this time, DSF-UK pushes forward
with its Human Subject Phasing Studies with the activation
of Deep Level 66. Under
the direction of Phasing Physiology expert Dr. Kreigler
Goss, several voluntary and some involuntary tests are
conducted to determine the physical and mental effects
of phasing biological matter.

Construction is begun on a duplicate
of the Ascension generator sitting idle at DSF-UK. It
is called Ascension II. The
country of Hungary agrees to host the building project
in exchange for support in rebuilding its economy and
infrastructure devastated during the De-Unification Conflicts
30 years prior.

|
A
self-sufficient community springs up around the Ascension
II Core facility, supplying the workforce and pre-construction
materials necessary for the massive phasing engine.
It is called Heaven City by
its inhabitants. Consisting of modern amenities and
facilities, the rapidly expanding city quickly draws
Hungary's population away from the country's demolished
urban centers and into Heaven City's own burgeoning
workforce.

|
The
Scandinavian Republic (a mid 21st Century union of Norway,
Sweden, Finland and Denmark) modifies its ban on human
experimentation, and; with monetary backing and incentives
from the United States and other World League countries,
constructs DSF East near Hammerfest on Kvaløy
island. Passed over as Direktor of DSF-UK in favor of
Dr. Freebourne's colleague Kriegler Goss, the 57 year
old Phasing Expert Dr. Soble Strauss now becomes Direktor
of
the New
Dimension
Science
Facility in spite of objections from an ailing Over
Direktor Freebourne. Construction is immediately begun
on enormous twin phase
generators. The Ragnarok generators,
as Strauss calls them, will be capable of maintaining
up to twelve enormous phasing
gates as compared to the Ascension class generator's
single pathway.

|
The
results of Direktor Kriegler Goss' thirteen year studies
pertaining to human phasing are compiled and presented
to The World League by his top assistant. Goss' behavior
has become so erratic over the years, however, that
he is removed as Direktor of the DSF-UK facility. In
light of his status and accomplishments, he is allowed
to remain at the facility to aid in management transition.

With
Soble Strauss at the helm, progress on the dual
Ragnarok generators being constructed at the DSF East
facility easily surpasses Heaven City's progress on
Ascension II.
